Pabellón Automoción
Built in 1929 for the Barcelona Universal Exposition, it has a very marked industrial aesthetic. It was used as the Palace of Communications and Transport at a time when industrial fairs were multisectoral. It is a space of 14,000m2 and a maximum height of 20m located in the heart of the city. It consists of two main entrances, one from Plaza de Espanya in front of Las Arenas, a neo-Mudejar style building from 1900, and the access from Avenida de la Reina Maria Cristina next to the emblematic area of the Montjuïc Fountains and the location of the great popular events of Barcelona such as New Year’s Eve, the Marathon or the Mercè.
